3D Designer
Niven, a premiere shopper-marketing company, offers solution-based, strategic retail merchandising services and solutions. We are a collaborative, employee-owned company that caters to agencies, brand marketers, and retailers alike. Clientele includes many major retailers and renown brands. Niven was founded in 1979 and is currently headquartered in Carol Stream, IL
The Retail 3D Designer will strengthen Niven’s innovation portfolio, develop creative concepts for retail display challenges, and work collaboratively with teammates across creative disciplines. As a direct report to the Creative Director, the 3D Designer will spend their time participating in idea generation, concept sketching, design refinement, 3D solution renderings, presentation layouts, CAD development and documentation for manufacturing. Experience in and knowledge of engineering principals is a tremendous plus.
Our ideal candidate looks like this….
- Must be an enthusiastic and creative fit in our culture: willing to support and collaborate with teammates within and outside the creative department
- Has a degree from an Industrial or Product Design program
- Is inquisitive, unafraid to ask questions, and eager to take risks
- Has excellent sketching and visual communication skills
- Has experience with 3D rendering tools (Rhino, Pro/E or SolidWorks)
- Interested in learning and applying the intricacies of the retail environment in design and shopper engagement
- Thrives with fast-paced challenges and manages time and details well
- Always willing to learn something new

The Digital Designer will strengthen Niven’s innovation portfolio, develop creative concepts for integration of digital experiences within retail display challenges, and work collaboratively with teammates across creative disciplines. As a direct report to the Creative Director, the Digital Designer will spend their time participating in idea generation, concept development, create customized digital experiences for shoppers, website and app development, and digital marketing materials. Experience in and knowledge of the retail environment and shopper activities is a tremendous plus.
